Martial Arts School The JYM Movement – Version: 10-12-2024
1.1 Martial Arts School: The JYM Movement, located at Haarlemmer Houttuinen 519, 1013 GM, AMsterdam, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 77027418.
1.2 Participant: A natural person who participates in classes or other activities organized by the Martial Arts School or purchases products.
1.3 Agreement: The agreement between the Martial Arts School and the Participant regarding single classes, class cards, memberships, or merchandise.
1.4 Classes: Martial arts training sessions, workshops, or other activities offered by the Martial Arts School.
1.5 Class Card: A card that allows the Participant to attend a predetermined number of classes.
1.6 Membership: An agreement that grants the Participant access to classes for a specific period.
1.7 Merchandise: Products sold by the Martial Arts School, such as clothing, accessories, and sports equipment.
2.1 These terms and conditions apply to all agreements between the Martial Arts School and the Participant, including participation in classes and the purchase of merchandise.
2.2 By entering into an agreement, the Participant confirms having read and agreed to these terms and conditions.
3.1 The offer of single classes, class cards, memberships, and merchandise is listed on the website and/or promotional materials.
3.2 An agreement is formed when the Martial Arts School confirms the Participant’s registration or order.
3.3 The Martial Arts School reserves the right to refuse a registration or order without providing a reason.
4.1 Payment for classes, memberships, class cards, and merchandise must be made in advance using the payment methods provided by the Martial Arts School.
4.2 For memberships, the owed amount will be collected monthly or in full for the entire period, depending on the chosen payment plan.
4.3 For merchandise, payment must be made in advance or upon delivery, depending on the offered options.
4.4 If payment is overdue, the Martial Arts School reserves the right to deny access to classes or suspend merchandise orders until payment is received.
5.1 Single classes can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of the class. There will be no refunds for later cancellations.
5.2 Class cards are personal, non-transferable, and valid until the expiration date stated at purchase. Unused credits will not be refunded.
5.3 Memberships can be canceled with a notice period of one month. Fees already paid will not be refunded.
5.4 Merchandise orders can be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided the products are undamaged, unused, and in their original packaging. Return costs are borne by the Participant unless otherwise agreed.
5.5 The Martial Arts School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes. In case of cancellation by the Martial Arts School, an alternative class will be offered, or part of the payment will be refunded.
6.1 Participation in classes is entirely at the Participant’s own risk.
6.2 The Martial Arts School is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages incurred during or as a result of participating in the classes.
6.3 The Martial Arts School is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to the Participant’s personal belongings.
6.4 For damages caused by defective merchandise, liability is limited to replacement or refund of the purchase price.
7.1 The Participant must comply with the rules established by the Martial Arts School. These rules are available on the website and at the reception of the Martial Arts School.
7.2 The Martial Arts School reserves the right to deny access to classes to participants who misbehave or violate the rules, without any entitlement to a refund.
8.1 The Martial Arts School processes the Participant’s personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and its privacy policy.
8.2 The privacy policy is available on the Martial Arts School’s website.
9.1 The Martial Arts School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
9.2 Changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect via the website or email.
10.1 Dutch law applies to all agreements and these terms and conditions.
10.2 Disputes will preferably be resolved through mutual consultation. If no agreement is reached, disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the jurisdiction of the Martial Arts School’s location.
